BUNDESLIGA: Funkel new coach of Hertha BSC Berlin

The German takes the helm with the team bottom of the table

(ANSA) - BERLIN - German Friedhelm Funkel is Hertha Berlin's new coach and replaces the Swiss Lucien Favre.

Funkel, 55, (Picture Ansa) a former player of Kaiserslautern, will lead his new team from tomorrow's League game against Hamburg on Match Day eight of the G! erman Bundesliga.

Hertha Berlin are currently 18th at bottom of the League's table . Funkel has signed a contract for one year.
